St George's Church is encouraging a financial response, to the terrible drought in East Africa which is affecting 75,000 Christians, through Barnabas Fund's Africa Drought Appeal. Barnabas Fund is a non-denominational Christian aid organisation dedicated to helping Christians in difficult situations around the world.4 September - 2 October 2011

St George's urges you to pray for the people of Christchurch, especially for those people who have lost family and friends or have been injured in the recent Earthquake. We also particularly remember the Anglican Latimer Fellowship who share headquarters in downtown Christchurch with the Church Missionary Society. If you wish to respond financially to this disaster, Anglican Aid is channeling funds to those who have been affected.

In response to the flood disasters in Queensland and Victoria, St George's Church is encouraging financial support through Anglican Aid and Bush Church Aid. Bush Church Aid is an organisation that funds and organises church ministry to rural and regional Australia.
